But this is our story. **The story that inspired the birth of Sardella Reale®.** ### It all begins in **Longobardi** It all begins in Longobardi, **a small village overlooking the sea.** There, Grandma Silvia skillfully worked the freshly caught newborn fish, the red pepper grown on her land and left to dry in the sun, until it became a fiery red powder, sweet and spicy. ### The scent of wild fennel I remember the walks **on the hills to gather wild fennel**, carefully selected to obtain its fragrant fruit that filled the rooms of the ancient palazzo where we lived. ### The snack on warm bread **We children did not participate in the preparation:** we were not used to fish.
